Happy New Year everyone in the Goodnewsforpets.com community! It looks like 2023 is shaping up to be a good year to celebrate our beloved pets and the people who love them. Goodnewsforpets will start the year off right by attending the VMX veterinary conference January 14-18. We are especially excited to attend NAVC’s “Day of Service” at VMX educating diverse youth all about becoming veterinarians.
We’ve updated the calendar and noted it’s great to see AKC Meet the Breeds will be back in NYC January 28-29th. Western Veterinary Conference is moving back from March to February 19-23, Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is now scheduled for May 8-9 at the USTA Tennis Center in New York. It looks like the SuperZoo trade show from August 16-18 and the Animal Health Corridor Summit from August 28-29 won’t conflict this year.
Most events are back in person, but be sure to check if there is a virtual event. The Cat Writers Association Conference October 14-15 remains online. A new twist is the online Awards Ceremony and Annual Meeting will be held the following weekend October 21-22. Watch for the contest opening between March 1 and April 1 on catwriters.com.
Speaking of contests, the fabulous AKC Family Dog “Dogs in Action” Photo Contest runs through February 28th.
We hope to have more product news from our affiliate Chewy and from Global Pet Expo March 22-24. In the meantime, who doesn’t love Disney, so check out some offerings here.
Next month is one of our favorite months for two reasons. First, it is Pet Dental Health Month and second, Goodnewsforpets.com will celebrate 23 years of continuous publishing on a great day – February 20th. That date is also Love Your Pet Day. More to come on that soon but for now, we’ve got much to celebrate in January.
Happy New Year indeed! It sure is going to be a good one.
