Dr. Elizabeth Hodgkins is Director of Veterinary Services for Ceva Animal Health. She oversees the veterinary services managers who provide technical support to Ceva Animal Health’s sales and marketing groups nationwide.
Before Ceva’s merger with Summit VetPharm, Hodgkins provided support for field sales and advice in the marketing of ectoparasiticide products available exclusively to veterinarians. In this capacity, she delivered many presentations on ectoparasites and the vector-borne diseases they mediate and educated company sales representatives about this subject. She also assisted in building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders in parasitology.
Before joining Summit VetPharm, Dr. Hodgkins built and opened her own cat-exclusive private practice in Yorba Linda, California.
Her previous corporate experience includes work at Heska Corp., where she developed and patented a currently marketed food for the management of feline diabetes. She also spent nearly a decade at Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc.
Dr. Hodgkins received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She served an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City and a Residency at UC Davis immediately following her internship.. She also taught veterinary parasitology at UC Davis following her residency. She received her law degree from the University of Kansas in 1996.
Dr. Hodgkins is an experienced speaker, media spokesperson, and author. She is the author of Your Cat: Simple New Secrets to a Longer, Stronger Life (Thomas Dunn Books, 2007).
