The Secret Lives of Pets was one of the first films the Goodnewsforpets team reviewed. The Secret Lives of Pets 2 continues the story of Max and his pet friends, following their secret lives after their owners leave them for work or school each day. Max faces some major changes after his owner Katie gets married and now has a child.
On a family trip to the countryside, Max meets a farm dog named Rooster, and both attempt to overcome his fears. Meanwhile, Gidget tries to rescue Max’s favorite toy from a cat-packed apartment, and Snowball sets on a mission to free a white tiger named Hu from a circus.
From what we’ve seen of the trailer and the early reviews, it looks as popcorn fun as the original. We’re not quite certain about the cone fun as our editor’s grandpup has had to wear one for serious reasons! It’s a typical example of Hollywood storybook license taken. We’ll eagerly await the debate. Have some good weekend fun at the movies, courtesy of Max and friends. We plan on it too!
