Kansas City Hosts World’s Only Full-Day Animal Health Investment Forum

New animal health technologies on display include an antibiotic alternative for poultry, obesity prevention treatments for pets and odor control products for litter boxes

WHAT: The seventh annual KC Animal Health Investment Forum, the world’s only full-day investment forum exclusively for emerging animal health companies, will take place Tuesday, September 1.  

Over 15 animal health companies from across the world will present business plans and technologies to potential investors. Innovations include an alternative to antibiotic use in poultry and other animals; an odor control product for litter boxes and barnyards; treatments preventing obesity and muscle atrophy in pets; therapies for osteoarthritis in horses, dogs and cats; intravenous fluid replacement solutions for veterinarians and various diagnostic devices and tools.

Presenting companies are seeking $500,000 to $20 million in funding and have revenue projections of $20 million within five to seven years.  Finalists were selected by a national committee of experts in agricultural and animal health investment opportunities.

WHO: Forum attendees include representatives from venture capital funds, investment firms, corporate R&D and business development professionals.
