Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is a severe and fatal feline disease. Although the disease can be traced to 1914, FIP is yet to be completely understood by veterinarians. Cats susceptible to FIP will most likely be susceptible to other infections and will die between the ages of six months and two years. Unfortunately, the struggle to create a screening test to determine a cat’s risk for developing the disease continues today.
