Twice a Year, Twice as Nice to Pets

Fort Dodge Animal Health and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) have teamed up for National Veterinary Technician Week, October 9-15, 2005. This year’s theme encourages pet owners to bring pets in for twice-yearly wellness exams. (“Veterinary Technicians: Making Wellness Visits Twice as Nice”)

Fort Dodge Animal Health is co-sponsoring the event as part of its 2005 National Pet Wellness Month campaign in October.

“Veterinary technicians play a vital role in educating pet owners about the importance of wellness exams and how to help pets live longer, happier, healthier lives,” said Craig Wallace, Vice President-Marketing, Fort Dodge Animal Health. “We look forward to a successful partnership with NAVTA and are excited about the opportunity to communicate our message and share the benefits of National Pet Wellness during National Veterinary Technician Week,” he added.

The new Veterinary Technician Week theme will be featured on a poster to be distributed to all active, associate and student members, as well as all student chapters of NAVTA.

NAVTA is a nonprofit organization that represents and promotes the profession of veterinary technology. National Veterinary Technician Week recognizes their role in the veterinary community.
