We’ve come full circle — almost. It’s early November and we still have some online announcements to make regarding the #Germinder20 #PowerofPinkHonorees, but we couldn’t resist the scene with our NY Vet pink friends and the fabulous friendly venue as our last veterinary show to say, hey, it’s been a great year celebrating our Germinder20 Power of Pink anniversary with the veterinary profession – and with the Goodnewforpets community of course! I’m thrilled I’ll also get another chance to present “What’s Your Story Now?” about the importance of telling your own story in today’s social and traditional media. If you are a veterinarian or veterinary team member, those sessions are in the Javits Center Exhibit Hall 1B Thursday November 8th Noon – 12:35 p.m. and Friday November 9th 12:15- 12:50 p.m.
At Booth #1100 we look forward to presenting Goodnewsforpets.com, Germinder + Associates and GNFP Digital, discussing the latest ways we can share stories and information. They’ll be plenty of goodies to help celebrate our 20th anniversary too including a sample of this great Our Generation Healthy Paws Vet Clinic to raffle off to a lucky clinic winner!
I hope to talk to attendees about the exciting developments at the Dog Writers Association of America (DWAA), an organization I’ve been a member of and has been a media partner of Goodnewsforpets since 2000. The DWAA has been led the last two years by the pawsome president Jen Reeder, who was recently named a solepreneur by the Women in the Pet Industry. Jen is delighted to now pass the baton in January to the new leadership team lead by incoming president Carol Bryant who will surely put her own indelible stamp on this illustrious organization.
Another Goodnewsforpets partner with plenty of news is the Cat Writers’ Association. Debra Horwitz, DVM, DACVB will be the keynote speaker for next year’s 25th Banquet and Conference, May 16-19, 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri. I’ll be speaking too and hope to see many from the both the Cat Writers and the Goodnewsforpets community.
Getting back to our Power of Pink Honorees, Lane Odle has been named the latest Germinder20 Power of Pink Honoree, and as I stated last week I couldn’t be happier. She’s as special as they come – her pet fish is named Rose, need I say more?! I hope we will be able to announce the remainder of the Honorees before the year is out. The timing is such that we work with each Honorees’ schedule and it is getting close!
Speaking of schedules, we are taking a “paws” as I travel to the Europe to check out Parisian pets, the London Vet show and revisit Prague pets. If you are interested in real time posts, check out our instagram feeds @leagerm or @goodnewsforpets.
