The KC Animal Health Corridor Welcomes the Industry Home For A Second Year

On Monday, Sept. 17, the KC Animal Health Corridor invites the animal health industry to come home to CVC Central in Kansas City and attend an exclusive gathering of animal health CEOs and industry leaders from across the country. This will be the second annual homecoming event.

The featured speaker is Mark Forbes, a veteran animal trainer for many feature films, including “Evan Almighty”. Forbes has been involved with several other films.

Kansas City area companies account for nearly 32 percent of total sales in the $15.2 billion global animal health market, making it a national industry leader. The area is also central to top universities and leads the nation in animal health and nutrition research, innovation, business functions and production.

The KC Animal Health Corridor will also co-sponsor the Zoonoses and National Biosecurity Symposium on Monday, Sept. 17 in conjunction with the CVC Central.

This is a free Symposium from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Kansas City Convention and Entertainment Centers. Speakers will cover topics such as flu viruses, E.coli and vaccines. The keynote speaker is Alfonso Torres, DVM, MS, PhD, Associate Dean for Public Policy, College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University.

The KC Animal Health Corridor is co-sponsoring the event along with Kansas State University and the University of Missouri.
