Another major pet industry trade show has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. SuperZoo 2020 has been postponed to August 17-19, 2021. The 2020 show had previously been set to continue August 31- September 3, 2020 in Las Vegas in a format that abided by new opening health and safety regulations. The Interzoo trade show in Weisbaden, Germany traditionally held in May every two years had been cancelled and rescheduled to June 1-4, 2021.
The show had made every attempt to continue to hold the event. In an earlier message, the show had conveyed, “Regardless of industry, each and every business is being faced with the personal decision of how to get back to business. It remains our commitment to enable our pet community to do just that — get back to business — understanding concessions will be made to ensure the health and safety of every attendee, brand, business and associated colleague who is a part of the event.”
According to the postponement letter from Vic Mason, Interim WPA President the reconfigured format would “compromise too many components for us to deliver the experience — personal and professional — that makes this show the biggest and the best.”
Mason also said,
“When we reflect upon what makes SuperZoo such an extraordinary experience it is more than the business deals that are done. It is about the people. This is the annual event where new relationships are forged, old relationships are celebrated and we as an industry unite standing alongside our peers.
The rescheduled date has been confirmed for Tuesday, August 17 – Thursday, 19, 2021 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
Super Zoo will be sending out detailed information with answers to questions around exhibitor policies and others logistics affected by the postponement. Hotel reservations booked through the official housing office, Connections Housing, will be cancelled for your convenience at no charge or penalty and registrants will receive a cancellation acknowledgement directly from Connections Housing. No other follow up will be necessary. All reservations will be cancelled, therefore if you were planning to attend SuperZoo and want to make other arrangements you will have to make a direct reservation.
