Stason Animal Health, Inc. Selects Kansas City for Relocation of Corporate Headquarters

Kansas City, Kan. ” August 26, 2013 ” Stason Animal Health, Inc., a pharmaceutical company dedicated exclusively to the development of new chemical entities for companion animals, announced that it has selected Kansas City, Mo., part of the KC Animal Health Corridor, for its corporate headquarters.   The company will lease office space in the Bioscience & Technology Business Center located on the University of Kansas Medical Center campus.

Stason Animal Health (SAH) announced its decision tonight at the 8th annual KC Animal Health Corridor Homecoming dinner in Kansas City, one of the largest gatherings of animal health industry executives in the world.

“SAH chose to locate in Kansas City due to the available resources and personnel for animal health product development, as well as low operating costs and several incentive programs for new companies,” said Diana Wood, CEO.  “The culture of Kansas City and concentration of animal health companies here made the selection quite easy. There is no place like the KC Animal Health Corridor for a company looking to serve the animal health industry.”

Before selecting Kansas City, SAH was located in Vancouver, Washington.  The relocation was complete earlier this month.  The Kansas City Area Development Council represented the KC Animal Health Corridor in working with SAH. Other important partners include the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas, and the Kansas Department of Commerce.

Bob Marcusse, president and CEO of the Kansas City Area Development Council, said, “With the KC Animal Health Corridor’s globally unique animal health industry concentration offering a mix of companies, higher education, research and service providers, the Kansas City area is an ideal location for Stason Animal Health  to grow and succeed.”
