December 2006
This is our annual holiday issue so it with great pride that we celebrate the good works of many shelters and animal health organizations and all “good things” that have happened related to www.goodnewsforpets.com this past year. The site continues to grow in content and prominence on the web. We regularly receive commentary from pet owners, veterinarians, and the media.
Steve Dale, the special reporter and columnist who encouraged me to launch this site, has won a very prestigious award, and so, we’ve decided to celebrate his success for his tireless endeavors. Please be sure to read his column about special holiday treats. Next, hats off to the National Veterinary Technicians in America, our very first sponsor of this site for celebrating their 25th anniversary year. We look forward to continuing our partnership in spreading the word about the good works of veterinary technicians.
In our What’s New section, we celebrate the arrival of yet another creative endeavor, “The Cat Who Wouldn’t Come Inside” by our good friend and colleague, Cynthia Von Buhler. We met Cynthia in connection with the launch of our New York City office, another good thing.
Susan Little, DVM joined our site this past year and we look forward to our continued partnership with her and the Winn Feline Foundation. Please take some time to visit our Forum, moderated by Susan Little, DVM, ABVP.
2007 promises to be another great year for www.goodnewsforpets.com. We will continue to announce news relevant to our readers. I look forward to hearing from you soon at lgerminder@germinder.com.
In closing, congratulations to Steve Dale for recognition for his efforts on behalf of pets nationwide.
