Pet Wellness Campaign Educates Pet Owners

The 2005 National Pet Wellness Month spring campaign focuses on educating pet owners about preventable threats to pet health and the importance of twice-a-year wellness exams.

Similar to the fall 2004 campaign, participating local veterinary clinics will receive valuable educational tools to assist them in providing pet owners with important wellness and prevention information tailored specifically to their pet. The educational tools”posters, client literature and clinic education materials”are designed specifically to explain pet health threats that are preventable and how six-month wellness exams can help detect, treat and, ideally, prevent life-threatening illnesses and diseases before they occur.

Details of the spring 2005 campaign will be publicly announced at the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas.

Clinics participating in the 2004 NPWM campaign will automatically receive a free spring 2005 In-Clinic Education Kit, which will be mailed starting in March.

Veterinary clinics wishing to join the NPWM campaign can register for the program at the Fort Dodge Animal Health booth at upcoming trade shows or by contacting their Fort Dodge Animal Health representative.

The spring 2005 campaig nemphasizes “Know your pet’s preventable threats,” twice-a-year wellness exams and disease prevention.
