The annual AVMA convention will be taking over the downtown Minneapolis Convention Center July 16-20, 2005. The event gets off to a fabulous start with Former First Lady Barbara Bush, who is the keynote speaker at the General Session WVC Opening Ceremony. Also at the General Session will be Dr. Herbert Schneider, President of the World Veterinary Association and Dr. Bernard Vallat, Director General of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). Other programs include the new day long diversity symposium which features Debbye Turner, DVM, a former Miss America and a correspondent for CBS news.
