North Carolina Cat Lover Wins Goodnewsforpets Contest and Safe Haven for Cats Wins Too!

When Sandy Weinstein of Wake Forest, North Carolina won the Goodnewsforpets.com “Purrfect Summer Savings Plus Goodies for You + A Shelter Too” contest drawing,  she knew right away where her winning donation was going — Safe Haven for Cats. That’s because she adopted her beloved cat Toto from Safe Haven.
While Toto happily awaits her free 12 count variety pack of Purina Fancy Feast brand wet cat food, Goodnewsforpets.com has also made a $50 donation on behalf of Weinstein to help Safe Haven for Cats.
Weinstein says, “This is a picture when I adopted ToTo from Safe Haven for Cats. I love winning the contest because I am a big pet lover and love being able to give back to Safe Haven for Cats.”

According to Weinstein, Safe Haven was started in the garage of the Pam Miller, president/CEO. There are a few paid staff people but most of the people who work at Safe Haven are volunteers. This year is their 25th year Anniversary. They have rescued over 10,000 cats. They have the only pet food bank in the area for both cats and dogs.
Safe Haven has a low cost clinic for both cats and small dogs. They have a spay/neuter and release program-TNVR. Safe Haven receives no government funding and solely depends on donations. Many events are held throughout the year where people can help raise money for Safe Haven.
Hurray for Sandy and hurray for Safe Haven for Cats. To find out more information about Safe Haven for Cats visit here.
