NAVTA Celebrates The NAVTA Journal

The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Inc. (NAVTA – formerly the North American Veterinary Technician Association) highlights the Association’s official publication: The NAVTA Journal.

The NAVTA Journal is a fresh and exciting publication that is distributed to all NAVTA members as their newest membership benefit. Dues remain the same – $50 for Active and Associate members and $15 for full time students in AVMA-accredited programs.

The NAVTA Journal includes all information currently contained in the NAVTA News including: Association news, U.S., state, local news pertaining to veterinary technicians, updates from the Canadian Association of Animal Health Technologists and Technicians, opportunities, career paths, CE meeting announcements, and much more. Advanced scientific articles are published in four categories: diagnostic testing, nursing skills/techniques, anesthesia/surgical nursing, and miscellaneous. Articles are planned from the NAVTA recognized Veterinary Technician Specialty Academies. Updates are included from the Argus Center at Colorado State University, and the ASPCA Poison Control Center. The publication provides members with the information they need to remain current on events in the profession and will serve as a valuable resource to continue to grow their careers.

“As a national organization, the time was right for NAVTA to provide a special membership benefit for our members,” said Patrick Navarre, NAVTA executive director. “This journal continues to support the position of NAVTA as the recognized leader in the veterinary technology profession.”
