Over 1,450 exhibitors from more than 50 countries and a record gross display area of some 90,000 square metres make Interzoo the biggest and most important marketplace for the global pet supplies trade. However, it is not just the new products and innovations that will attract visitors to Nürnberg from 13″16 May 2010, but the talks with colleagues and the interesting supporting programme too.
Route changes at Interzoo 2010
The Nürnberg exhibition site, the home of Interzoo, is being modernized and extended. NürnbergMesse GmbH is currently reconstructing the central (Mitte) entrance area, which means route changes at this year’s Interzoo. The central entrance will be available for use by visitors, but located slightly further south than usual in front of hall 1. The west entrance in front of hall 9 and close to the underground station and the east (Ost) entrance in front of halls 7A and 4A and directly adjacent to the large visitor car parks will also be available. Halls 1 and 9 are connected by a new covered passageway. Buses run regularly between the underground station and the entrances to enable visitors to reach the desired entrances quickly.
ZZF Information Centre
The honorary sponsor of Interzoo, the German Pet Trade & Industry Association (ZZF), is an important port of call for pet retailers. At the ZZF Information Centre on stand 4-324 in hall 4, experts will be available to answer questions on pets and the German pet supplies market. Retailers receive information about the services provided by the professional association, such as the manual for training in the pet supplies trade, labels for sales systems in pet shops, special insurance offers and skeleton agreements. The chairmen of the ZZF state associations will also be available throughout the exhibition for intensive talks on the German pet supplies industry and ZZF.
Seminar for pet groomers

The Business Lounge between halls 4 and 5 offers visitors the opportunity to attend to important work undisturbed away from exhibition activity or to recover from the journey. Visitors can obtain drinks and daily papers here and use the copying, printing and communication services.
Interzoo pet care centre
To save our four-legged friends having to spend too much time walking round the exhibition halls, the promoter offers a professional pet care centre, where pets are fed and looked after. The dog care centre for visitors’ dogs is located between the east entrance and hall 7A.
Visitors accompanied by children of 3 years or older can entrust them to the care of the trained staff in the Interzoo nursery between halls 4 and 5, where lots of toys are available.
Saturday Night Fever at Interzoo!
After a day of successful orders, intensive discussions and negotiations, things really get moving after the exhibition closes on the Saturday: Ooh, la, la, la ” the songs from Kool & the Gang, Donna Summer, Kiss and the Blues Brothers make the Interzoo Party a really hot 70s night. Under the glittering light of the disco balls, this year’s live band “”Hot Stuff”” conjures up the flamboyant glamour period of the past century for the Interzoo community.
Besides very catchy and danceable numbers from the Scorpions, Gloria Gaynor or the Pointer Sisters, one band naturally must be there:
ABBA. The German cover band “”ABBA Explosion”” provides a “”Super Trouper”” show. The Brazilian dance group “”Morenas Do Brasil”” also spreads the mood of euphoria with an acrobatic capoeira dance and their breathtaking samba show.
The party guests can amuse themselves between dances with table soccer, pinball or burst the balloon in the gallery area, fortify themselves with culinary delicacies from the international buffet, or enjoy a cosy chat or chill out in the Mercator Lounge. Live music from the “”Shortcuts”” jazz band creates that exciting romantic bar feeling again on the lounge terrace, which was very popular with last year’s guests.
The Interzoo Party for visitors and exhibitors takes place on Saturday, 15 May 2010, starting at 6 p.m. ” on the 1st floor of CCN Ost in the exhibition centre. Entrance tickets for the Interzoo Party are available from all information counters in the exhibition centre and at the ticket desk in CCN Ost from 5.30 p.m. on the evening.
