Hot Trends in Veterinary Products, Services on Display at Georgia World Congress Center

Atlanta – From high-tech surgical instruments to the latest toys and exercise equipment for household pets, more than 250 exhibitors will be showcasing cutting-edge technology and consumer-oriented products at the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Annual Convention at the Georgia World Congress Center July 31 ” Aug. 2.

Media crews are invited to walk the 185,500-square-foot exhibit hall, capture video and still images, and interview vendors representing a wide variety of veterinary products and services.

You’ll see demonstrations of surgical laser instruments, the latest in dog- and electric-powered canine exercise equipment and even wearable pet “shirts” designed to calm fears and anxiety.

Along the way, stop by and visit with Josh, a member of the growing field of therapy dogs that visit hospitals helping to replace a patient’s anxiety and fear with wet kisses and unconditional love.

While the exhibit hall is not open to the public, media members will find plenty of products for pet owners, from frozen yogurts for dogs, exercise wheels and treadmills, the latest in pet identification aids, fun treat dispensers, toys and much more.

More than 9,000 people are expected to attend this year’s convention, and few places match the exhibit hall for its bustling activity level and colorful photo opportunities. The exhibit hall is open from 9:30 a.m. ” 6 p.m. Saturday, July 31, and Sunday, Aug. 1; and from 9:30 a.m. ” 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2.
