Governor Pat McCrory Proclaims North Carolina Week for the Animals March 21-29, 2015!

Throughout the week, North Carolina shelters, rescue groups, and humane organizations across the state will be hosting special events to help animals and strengthen communities.

March 17, 2015RALEIGH, N.C.Animal World USA is pleased to announce Governor Pat McCrory has proclaimed March 21-29, 2015 as 7th Annual North Carolina Week for the Animals. Throughout the week, shelters, rescue groups, and humane organizations across the state will be hosting wonderful animal-related special events at various locations. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens across North Carolina will be joining in as well, each to celebrate and help animals.Events will include adoption fairs/events, spay/neuter low cost opportunities, shelter open houses, R.E.A.D. dog programs and book displays in libraries, wildlife activities for the whole family and therapy dogs visiting schools, hospitals & living-assisted homes.Also to be included are a salute to our K9 military and working dogs, youth programs, and fun-filled Spring festival days for families to come and enjoy food, music and the amazing animals!

Birding activities, dog washes, pet pantries, veggie get-togethers, Easter activities for the people and dogs, low cost microchipping, Canines for Service Walk & Dash, Earth Hour, educational activities at college campuses for farm animals, ways to help horses, reduced spring adoption fees for cats & kittens, Golden Retreiver Hour at Children’s Museum and much more!

Precious lives will be saved and new friendships developed as we join together to celebrate the gracious people, communities and amazing animals of North Carolina.
