The entries are in and now we are waiting for the announcement of the winning entry this fall. Yay!
As parent company Germinder + Associates celebrates its 25th anniversary, Goodnewsforpets commends one of our longtime media partners for persevering through the pandemic. We look forward to celebrating this award with the CWA community once again.
The Goodnewsforpets.com Human-Animal Bond Award will be in the special awards category. The winner received a $500 cash award, publicity on Goodnewsforpets.com and our social media platforms, and a framed certificate.
As we celebrate Germinder + Associates’ 25th anniversary, we reflect on the company’s history with CWA that goes beyond this award. While Goodnewsforpets.com sponsors the Human-Animal Bond Award, thanks to Amy Shojai, Lea-Ann Germinder, founder and president of Germinder + Associates, is a proud recipient of the prestigious Michael Brim Distinguished Service Award. The award is for posting CWA content pro bono, but also for providing services from Germinder and her team since 2000.
Back to the awards! Each year, the Cat Writers’ Association selects the best entries and awards them with Certificates of Excellence. The highest-scoring Certificate-winning entry in each category receives a Muse Medallion award. Anything published during 2022 may be entered, and that includes writing, photography, art, graphic design, and more. Anyone (including those outside the United States) can enter, not just members!
