Hillsborough, NJ; April 19, 2010 Feline Pine is honored to announce a new partnership with the Winn Feline Foundation to fund research into health problems affecting cats. Although more people in America own cats as pets than dogs, knowledge about feline health problems is lacking, and far fewer research dollars are spent on feline research.
The research project funded by Winn, and supported financially by Feline Pine, seeks to find an effective treatment for a devastating disease of kittens, feline infectious peritonitis (FIP).The project is led by Dr. Alfred Legendre, professor in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville.
