Dr. Steve Chu received his DVM degree in 1976 from National Taiwan University and his Ph.D. degree in Microbiology in 1984 from the University of California, Davis. He joined the U.S. animal health industry as a research fellow beginning in 1984 and has been with Fort Dodge Animal Health for seventeen years. He is currently Senior Vice President of Global Research and Development at Fort Dodge Animal Health. He has completed the development and registration of many innovative products such as West Nile virus vaccines for horses, Lyme disease vaccine for dogs, and FIV vaccine for cats. He is also the inventor for several key vaccine patents.
