Guy Pidgeon, DVM, DACVIM designated his Germinder20 Power of Pink Honoree donation to his veterinary school alma mater, Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS). The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences has pledged to contribute to the Campaign for Colorado State University by raising $250 million in private giving by 2020. According to the school, “The magnitude of the school’s goal is matched only by the audacity of our mission: to discover a better tomorrow. Our faculty, staff, students, and alumni are not content with humble goals. They aspire to do nothing less than save lives, cure cancer, eliminate malaria, feed the world, and prepare the next generation of veterinarians, doctors, and scientists. According to CVMBS, the College offers nearly $1.5 million in scholarships each year, awarding close to 400 scholarships annually to deserving students. Qualifications for applications vary, and the school encourages students to check out which scholarships are available to them.
