BIOSECURITY: Our Regional & National Response

WHAT: Veterinary professionals, media and leaders in the life sciences will convene in Kansas City to participate in “BIOSECURITY: Our Regional & National Response,” a symposium held in conjunction with the CVC Kansas City. The meeting will address current challenges faced in protecting the nation’s animal agriculture, food supply and public health against biological threats and diseases.

Exclusive, one-on-one interviews with speakers and Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute leaders are available upon request.

WHO: National and regional experts will address topics such as West Nile Virus, the global imperative of national biosecurity, and lessons from the hot zone. Speakers include world-renowned academics, researchers and veterinary professionals, including David R. Franz, DMV, PhD, Vice President and Chief Biological Scientist at Midwest Research Institute, Tracey S. McNamara, DVM, Diplomate, ACVP, Professor of Pathology at Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine, as well as Gerald P. Jaax, DVM, ACLAM, and Nancy Jaax, DVM, PhD, of Kansas State University.
