As we witness the horrible tragedy of war unfolding in the Ukraine, Goodnewsforpets.com stands in solidarity with the many reputable groups rushing to aid the pets of Ukraine and those who care for and love them. Getting Information to People Fleeing the Ukraine with Pets

The International Fund for Animal Welfare has compiled a verified resource of country information for people fleeing from Ukraine with their pets.

The American Veterinary Medical Foundation, the aid arm of the American Veterinary Medical Association, has identified the following groups of  reputable organizations  to help veterinary teams and the pets they care for.  As the Foundation states, these groups are not ‘AVMA-endorsed’ but are generally viewed as credible organizations that are poised to provide immediate help. Please consider how you can support their efforts.”

The American Kennel Club (AKC) posted the following statement of solidarity which mentions the AKC has reached out to the Ukrainian Kennel Union and “stands ready to assist other organizations directly connected to assisting dog breeders, exhibitors, and owners affected by this crisis.”

We hope and pray for a peaceful resolution to this senseless tragic event as soon as possible.
