CEVA Announced as First Industry Sponsor bt WVLDI

(LAS VEGAS – February 17, 2014 – Western Veterinary Conference) — The Women’s Veterinary Leadership Development Initiative (WVLDI) and Ceva Animal Health today jointly announced they have entered into an agreement whereby Ceva has agreed to become the first WVLDI industry sponsor with an inaugural sponsorship of $15,000. The funds will be used for strategic planning, leadership, sponsorship skill cultivation and organizational development to fulfill the organization’s mission.

A special presentation and remarks will be made by Dr. Karen Padgett, Chief Operating Officer, Ceva Animal Health, at 10:00 a.m. February 17 at the Western Veterinary Conference WVLDI Event, Mandalay Bay Level III, Jasmine ABC between the “Mind the Gap” and “Secrets of Success” WVLDI Sessions 8:00 a.m. – Noon (See Program Details Below).

The WVLDI has received support from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and Dr. Elizabeth Sabin, the Associate Director for International and Diversity Initiatives is serving as an ad hoc member of the WVLDI Board.

We recognize how important it is to support the advancement of women to leadership, policy and decision-making positions within all areas of professional veterinary activity. We look forward to working with the WVLDI to nurture its strategic growth at this important juncture in our profession,” said Padgett.

The WVLDI provides a platform to facilitate and encourage women to more fully participate in veterinary leadership roles, not only in organized veterinary medicine, but also in corporate, government, private practice, and academic positions.
