I’m for sure one to wax nostalgic and this year, more than ever. Outdoor games with my brothers and the neighborhood kids was one of my favorite childhood activities, so when I received my special Converse sneakers in the mail, it brought back those memories of running around with my brothers.
The sneakers are part of a bigger conversation during the North American Veterinary Conference (NAVC), set to begin tomorrow at its brand new location at the Orlando, Florida Convention Center. This will be my 22nd conference and “oh what a conference it will be.”
Goodnewsforpets is thrilled to be participating in several programs that are designed to elevate the standard of care in veterinary medicine – just as “Pets Need Dental Care, Too!” did so many years ago.
Why the speedy tracks to the conference? Quite frankly it’s always been a “not to be missed” start of the veterinary year to launch the latest products, innovations and news that is happening in the veterinary world. Now the conference itself is breaking news at a rapid pace.
Of course, for the veterinary healthcare team it’s the best of the best in terms of continuing education. The American Heartworm Society has a special symposium that will feature many speakers including John McCall discussing his research including the Double Defense protocol. The American Association of Feline Practitioners has a feline track featuring one of my favorite speakers, Dr. Elizabeth Colleran, the spokesperson for the Cat Friendly Practice program. She is speaking of a myriad of subjects. Last but not least, there is an entire program devoted to the Fear Free initiative featuring Marty Becker and a host of speakers.
There will be so much more to discover in the next few days that I’ll be tweeting at @lgerminder and Goodnewsforpets will be tweeting at @goodnewsforpets in addition to posting on the website and Facebook.
Get ready, it’s going to be a great conference!
