New York Week for the Animals Celebration is October 14-22, 2017!

During this extraordinary week, community leaders and humane organizations across New York are hosting wonderful animal-related events. Educators, youth, businesses and caring citizens will be joining to celebrate and help animals.

Animal World USA is pleased to announce that the 9th Annual New York Week for the Animals is being celebrated October 14-22, 2017.  During the extraordinary proclaimed week, animal shelters, rescue groups, wildlife centers, educational institutions and humane organizations across the entire state will be hosting wonderful animal-related special events which will be saving lives, building relationships, helping animals and strengthening communities. Educators, students and caring citizens across the state will be joining in to celebrate and help the animals.

Events will include adoption events, low cost & free spay/neuter events, R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries, dog training classes, , youth activities for the animals, 5k’s, special promos for homeless animals, feral cat workshops, horse welfare events, farm animal sanctuary events, wildlife camps, bird tours/activities, Happy Hour for the Dogs & owners, winter supply drives, and therapy animals visiting schools, children’s hospitals and living-assisted homes. Lollypop Farm Tack Sale and Open Day, Pumpkins and Pooches adoptions, Barks and Brews, and Benefit concert for Pets Alive are exciting new events spotlighted this year.

Also to be included are a salute to our working K-9 and handlers, low cost spay & vaccinations, volunteer ops at animal sanctuaries.  Empty the Shelters, Halloween activities, animal cruelty conference. vegetarian & vegan meet-ups and fun-filled fall festivals for families to enjoy friendship, food, music on behalf of the always amazing animals.
