“I am truly honored to be recognized among this outstanding group of individuals receiving the #Germinder20 #PowerofPink award. I remember when Lea-Ann first told me about her vision for Goodnewsforpets.com and I knew then that it would be a great success! I applaud Lea-Ann’s vision and wish Germinder + Associates many more years offering this great resource for the pet media and for all people who love pets. It’s been my pleasure to play a small role in its evolution, ” said Julie Lux, Vice President, Public Relations of FLM Harvest.

Germinder and Lux first met in the early 1990s when Lux hosted KSHB-TV’s AM Live show in Kansas City. Lux later joined Germinder + Associates as the first editor of Goodnewsforpets.com and as a Vice President at Germinder + Associates. She embraced the Goodnewsforpets.com concept from the beginning and became a beloved senior counsel to her clients and junior staff.

“It’s exciting to announce Julie Lux as the 10th Honoree and celebrate not only her work on Goodnewsforpets but all the work she has done in communications through the years. Over my career, and in fact before I launched Germinder + Associates, I’ve had the distinct good fortune to work with senior talent both within the agency and with external partners. Julie is a wonderful example of both of those relationships. And, her passion and knowledge of the dog world is exceptional,” said Lea-Ann Germinder, APR, Fellow, PRSA, Founder and President of Germinder + Associates, Inc.

Lux brings a unique perspective to her work in the animal health field as a breeder, exhibitor and judge of purebred Beagles and American Foxhounds. She is on a first-name basis with companion animal industry leaders and has served on the public relations team for the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and as national spokesperson and PR chair for the Dalmatian Club of America.

In her present role at FLM Harvest, Lux serves as a senior leader working with animal and agriculture clients with a specialty focus on companion animal health public relations and video production. Julie also provides leadership and senior-level counsel within the overall FLM+ public relations functional practice.
