Judy Korman, VMD, MBA joins Assisi Animal Health as Chief Business Officer.
In 1987, Dr. Korman graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and received her MBA from The Wharton School of Management in 1988.
In 1988, Dr. Korman joined The Wilkerson Group, a premier healthcare and life sciences, strategy consulting boutique. During her twelve years with the firm, Dr. Korman became a Managing Director and conducted and managed projects that helped pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and related healthcare companies formulate and successfully implement product development, business development, commercialization and marketing strategies. In addition, Dr. Korman performed and managed numerous due diligence evaluations of healthcare products and companies. Her clients included leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and investment firms across the globe.
Dr. Korman moved to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, NC in 2006. Shortly thereafter she founded and operated a mobile, house call pet practice, which provided veterinary services to dogs and cats in the Carolinas.
In 2015, Dr. Korman started her association with Assisi Animal Health by working on a variety of consulting assignment for the management team. She formally joined the company in 2017 to spearhead efforts in Business and Product Development.
Dr. Korman, is an avid dog agility enthusiast and currently competes in national events with her Stabyhoun, Shetland Sheepdog and Australian Koolie. She lives in Mill Spring, NC with her husband and has two children in college.
