There’s no better way to launch 2019 than with a bouquet of gratitude to the Germinder20 #PowerofPinkHonoree Susan Little, DVM, DACVB. She spreads best practices in feline medicine far and wide. Sure she’ll be at VMX next week and Western Veterinary Conference soon after, both global meetings located in the U.S., but it’s the jetting off to far-a-way places to educate that Dr. Little is known for – 40 total in 2018. In fact, she’ll be at the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) Symposium April 3, 2019 in Birmingham, England.
She’s also known for her digital presence via twitter @catvetsusan and Instagram @catvetsusan – and her sunny attitude – and her leadership in veterinary medicine as a former president of the Winn Feline Foundation – and as a past president of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and…..well, you can read the story here. Congratulations again Dr. Little on this honor.
Her Honoree donation went to the fabulous Winn Feline Foundation at the end of 2018. I was sad to hear the wonderful Vicki Thayer, DVM, another favorite feline expert, was retiring from Winn as Executive Director, and always wish her the very best. Winn is now in the capable hands of another veterinary favorite Julie Legred, CVT as she takes over as Executive Director. Congratulations on your retirement Dr. Thayer and congratulations to Julie!
So goodnewsforpets community, what’s your global groove for this year?
I look forward to finding out from many of you at VMX next week!
