Barack Obama to Attend CFA Iams CAT Championship

New York – Barack Obama the Bombay cat will be competing at one of the world’s most prestigious cat shows, the 6thth Annual CFA Iams Cat Championship. The show will be held Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Madison Square Garden. The show will feature Obama-cat and hundreds of cat competitors that will be coming from across the world to compete for Best of the Best!

The Show will spotlight some of the hundreds of show cats arriving from across the US as well as some from foreign countries. Among the more than 40 CFA-certified breeds represented will be the Japanese Bobtail, American Curl, Maine Coon, Egyptian Mau, Ragdoll, Cornish Rex, Sphynx, Siamese, and Persian.

New to this year’s show will be the Iams Trained Cats, known to many for their role in the Iams TV commercials. Trained to perform Olympic style feats, these cats will be slam-dunking, strutting on balance beam and kicking-off the show by lighting a torch! Coming back this year is the spectator favorite, the Feline Agility Competition tournament, which challenges cats to navigate a series of tunnels and mazes in the fastest time possible. Also returning to this year’s CFA Iams Cat Championship will be several very popular show favorites. Among the highlights are:
