ASPCA, Cindy Adams Honor New York City’s Companion Animals with Holiday Blessing

WHO:In honor of the animals that enrich New Yorkers’ lives, the ASPCA and Cindy Adams are proud to sponsor the Blessing of the Animals at Christ Church on December 13.

Celebrate the holiday season with Ms. Adams, her two Yorkshire terriers, Jazzy and Juicy, and the heroic animals that serve New York City. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly is inviting our city’s service animals with their handlers to attend, with a special outdoor service for New York’s police horses.

WHAT: Pet parents interested in attending the non-sectarian, one-hour service are encouraged to arrive early, as the event is first come, first served. All animals should be in carriers or on a leash. The service is open to animal lovers of all ages and their companion animals. Admission is free, donations are welcome. No parents without their animals, no animals without their parents.

WHY:“The love and companionship of a pet is a gift that keeps giving all year,” says Ms. Adams. “In the spirit of the holiday season I’m delighted to host and participate in a service that commemorates the relationship between New Yorkers and their animal companions.”

WHEN:Sunday, December 13 at 6:00 p.m.

WHERE:Christ Church
520 Park Avenue
