Alabama Woman Wins Contest, Seeks Loving Home for Foster Kitties

Jura and Rhone

Mary Chromek of Athens, Alabama is the next winner of the Goodnewsforpets.com “Purrfect Summer Savings Plus Goodies for You + A Shelter Too” contest drawing. In addition to winning a coupon good for a free 12 count variety pack of Purina Fancy Feast brand wet cat food, Goodnewsforpets.com has made a donation of $50 in her name to the Meows and Growls of Colbert County Animal Shelter. But Chromek is seeking a forever home for her foster kitties.

In winning the contest and receiving notice of the donation, instead of featuring her own beloved cats, Chromek chose to use the publicity to highlight four siblings known as “The French Wine Fleet.” They are her foster kittens that she raised from just a week old when they unfortunately lost their real mother prematurely.

“These growing bellies and I are super thankful to have won some free Purina Fancy Feast cat food; the kitties love it,” said Chromek.

Touraine is the brown tabby Male, Bordeaux is the shorter haired white and brown/black patched tabby male.

Jura, the only girl, is white with grey, and one of her grey spots is in the shape of a heart and Rhone is the longer haired white and brown/black patched tabby male.

Chromek says, “These babies are the absolute sweetest things and love to give and receive affection. They often reach out with a gentle paw and touch my face, just purring away. They are very bonded and need to find furrever homes in pairs! They are now 15 weeks old, spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. The French Wine Fleet and their other foster siblings are located in north Alabama, but nearby states are welcome to apply if they fall in love with these babies!”
You can see their journey from tiny babies to glorious cats, as well as contact their foster mom, at www.facebook.com/fosterpurrs or @FosterPurrs on Instagram.

NOTE: This post has been updated with Chromek’s selection for the local shelter donation since August 20, 2019.
