Dr. Patrick Melese is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists and director of Veterinary Behavior Consultants, a southern California specialty veterinary practice dedicated to preventing and solving behavior problems in animals. Dr. Melese was in general private practice for thirteen years, in San Diego, before accepting a three-year appointment as clinical faculty specialist in behavioral medicine with the UC" Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Melese’s training includes a master’s degree from UC"Davis in 1980 and a DVM from UC"Davis in 1986. He has been active in the field of clinical animal behavior, including providing regional and national veterinary continuing-education programs, publications, and clinical research. Dr. Melese also serves regularly as an expert witness in animal injury cases in superior court.
