Morris Animal Foundation Announces Call For Pre Proposals

ENGLEWOOD CO — Morris Animal Foundation announces its call for pre-proposals for funding beginning in 2003. The deadline for application is November 1, 2002, and funding is limited to companion animal and wildlife/special species health studies.

Applicants seeking grants in the $100,000 per year range are encouraged to apply, and studies lasting up to five years in length will be considered. Feline health proposals are particularly encouraged, as the Foundation recently experienced a decrease in applications specifically for feline health studies.

The official call for pre-proposals, containing all application details, will be distributed worldwide in late August. Copies can also be obtained in late August by calling the Foundation’s Grant Department at (800) 243-2345, or by visiting the Web site at www.MorrisAnimalFoundation.org.

Morris Animal Foundation is a 54-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring a healthier tomorrow for companion animals and wildlife. Since its inception, the Foundation has funded 1,050 humane animal health studies with funds exceeding $29 million. This year alone, the Foundation is committed to funding more than $4 million.
