ATS Selects Kansas City for National Corporate Training Center

Kansas City, Mo. — August 28, 2012 " ATS Animal Health Training Solutions, a training and development company dedicated exclusively to the needs of animal health industry professionals, announced that it has selected Kansas City, Mo., part of the KC Animal Health Corridor, for its national corporate training center. The company will locate in the Ambassador Building at Kansas City International Airport.

ATS announced its decision last night at the 7th annual KC Animal Health Corridor Homecoming dinner in Kansas City, one of the largest gatherings of animal health industry executives in the world.

“ATS chose to locate in Kansas City near the airport due to the location’s ease of access for travelers and low operating costs,” said Eric Alsup, president and head coach of ATS. “The culture of Kansas City and concentration of animal health companies here made the selection fairly easy. There is no place like the KC Animal Health Corridor for a company looking to serve the animal health industry.”

Before selecting Kansas City, ATS evaluated a handful of Midwest cities with a major airport that had quality hotel accommodations and restaurants nearby.

Bob Marcusse, president and CEO of the Kansas City Area Development Council, said, “Due to the KC Animal Health Corridor’s globally unique animal health industry concentration offering a mix of companies, higher education, research and service providers, the Kansas City area is an ideal location for ATS to grow and succeed.”

The Kansas City Area Development Council, the Kansas City Aviation Department, Platte County Economic Development Council, State of Missouri, KCP&L, Missouri Gas Energy and the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri worked together to bring ATS to Kansas City.

ATS will operate from 12200 Northwest Ambassador Drive, a six-story office building visible from Interstates 29 and 435, located adjacent to Kansas City International Airport. Other tenants in the building include Pfizer Animal Health, WireCo and National Beef.
