--Marks Second Win for Agency's Latest Campaign Work--
(KANSAS CITY, Mo., -- October 19, 2009)--Germinder & Associates, Inc., germinder.com, a pet/vet consultancy, full service agency and publisher of goodnewsforpets.com, today announced the company has won a Greater Kansas City Chapter Public Relations Society of America (GKC/PRSA) PRISM Award for its national media relations campaign for the CATalyst Top 10 Cat-Friendly Cities campaign and an additional Silver Award for the media kit materials. In September, the agency won three Fountain awards from the Business Marketing Association (BMA) for the same campaign and related branding work.
"We knew from the reaction we received from social and traditional media contacts that this campaign and its message resonated with the media and the public on so many different levels. Now, to be also recognized for the high quality of our work by both our public relations colleagues and our business marketing colleagues is especially gratifying," said Lea-Ann Germinder, APR, Fellow PRSA, president of Germinder & Associates, Inc.
Germinder and her teams have won dozens of awards for their work in the animal health and pet markets including a Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Silver Anvil Award of Excellence and an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Gold Key Award for "Pets Need Dental Care, Too!" a campaign that built the oral category for pets now in its 14th year. Other campaigns include Healthy Cats for Life! and the KNOW Heartworms campaign. Germinder's earlier work in the pet segment included helping introduce hydroponically-grown plants to the U.S. market and consulting on behalf of the Ornamental Fish International's U.S. branch office.
"The CATalyst Council has been one of our most complex campaigns to date. I am delighted with the response we have received," Germinder said. "The awards showcase our agency's capabilities, and we look forward to continuing to create successful campaigns that resonate with the media and the public for animal health and pet industry organizations."
